IF THE SAILOR MUST CHANGE THE DATE OR TERM AFTER THE SRB REQUEST HAS BEEN APPROVED, THE COMMAND IS REQUIRED TO CONTACT THE SRB HELP DESK TO GAIN A NEW APPROVAL. THE MEMBERS OF THE SRB HELP DESK ARE THE ONLY INDIVIDUALS IN THE NAVY THAT CAN ACTUALLY CANCEL REQUESTS. THE CANCEL FUNCTION IN CIMS AND OPINS DOES NOT WORK. THIS IS BY DESIGN AND IS NOT A MALFUNCTION OF THE SYSTEM. 3. SRB REQUESTS SUBMITTED VIA CIMS MUST BE VERIFIED BY REVIEWING BOL. SRB REQUESTS SUBMITTED VIA CIMS TAKES 24 TO 48 HOURS TO MIGRATE FROM CIMS TO THE OPINS SYSTEM SUCH THAT THEY CAN BE PROCESSED BY THE SRB HELP DESK. UNLIKE OPINS WHICH WILL GIVE YOU THAT A SUCCESSFUL UPDATE HAS HAPPENED, CIMS WILL TRANSMIT WHATEVER REQUEST YOU SUBMITTED.
